Are you sure your laptop is optimised for gaming? Sound like regular lag crashing but don't take my word it could be something else.

I have a gaming PC that can normally run the server fine at 30 frames + but this last week I have been getting under 15 frames

Gmod crashes a lot on my i7 8700k gtx 1080 :/

Similar thing happens to me. Whenever I load it up it just crashes everything and forces me into steam offline mode. Probably my internet but it sucks anyway

Try allocating more RAM to your client

> Go to steam and find gmod in your game library, right click on properties

Have you checked what program's boot up at first on your computer. You could have a load of shit running in the background
