Hawk Servers

Destroying your own stuff

#1

Who is this suggestion targeted at? (i.e rank.. jobs..)
>> Players

What is your main suggestion(provide links if possible)
>> Make destroying your own valuables to avoid them being stolen in a raid against the rules.

How would your suggestion improve the server?
>> LTARP is effectively the same thing if you're just doing it to get your printers back, add a rule preventing this.

Defenders will love this but hate it at the same time cause they destroy them.
Raiders will hate this completely.
It would be intresting to see what would happen, but it would cause extreme havoc all around.
Raiders getting mad for not profiting raids and wasting money;
Defenders getting printers back but being forced to re-buy all the tiers but get to keep the printer are kinda mad (not specificaly forces but they would re-buy them most probably).
All together a -rep.
Your opinion is correct

???? This is only positive the defenders should lose their printer not just have to respawn them in and raiders should gain something from raiding since right now defenders have an absurd advantage
I think you must of misread the suggestion it was ment to ban the ability to destroy your own printers when getting raided

People who destroy their things before being raided are really annoying.

I love this but the only thing would be that sometimes during a intense raid the shots go everywhere especially with an speed suit, and it has happened to me that I shot the printer with a weapon while trying to shoot at the raiders and it got destroyed. I would love to see something that could prove that you destroyed the printer on accident.

+/- rep just for that reason

Hey!

There's a fundamental difference between relogging to get your printers back and shooting your printers while being raided; LTARP and shooting your printers are not "essentially the same thing".

When you LTARP, you're already dead. You've already lost everything and there's absolutely no loss for you reconnecting at that time (assuming it wouldn't be against the rules).

if you were to shoot your printers, you'd have to do so before you can be 100% sure your printers are going to be stolen from you - because as long as you're still alive and have a gun to kill raiders with, you have a chance to survive the raid without having to waste money by buying a second printer.

It's not entirely unrealistic for people to destroy their goods/equipment if they have no more use for them just so that their enemies can't get their hands on them either. Happens all the time in those big drug lord movies.

I get that it's no fun for you as raider that you're not getting anything out of the raid, but a fundamental issue with printers is that you can only have one at a time, and if yours is stolen and all you wanted to do is print money then there's just not much left for you (the other player) to do. If they can't shoot their printers to re-buy them later they'll just leave out of boredom (and you'll still lose the printer lol).

And also... if people would rather literally guarantee their own loss instead of try and fight back maybe that says something about how pay-to-win/unfair/overpowered raiders can be in comparison to defenders, especially when it's donators up against non-donators.
